09.01.2020. Following the notice of vacancy and the recruitment process, at its session today the Government of the Republic of Croatia appointed Siniša Kukić as Director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund.
20.12.2019. The Fund endorses the Declaration on Clean Energy for EU Islands
13.12.2019. After intensive works, Karepovac in Split is transforming into a regulated landfill, as was observed by the deputy director of the Fund, Alenka Košiša Čičin Šain, and the mayor Andro Krstulović Opara, who visited the remediated location.
13.12.2019. In order to encourage the citizens to reduce the quantity of waste they produce during the holidays, the Fund has launched the campaign – Even without paper decoration, a gift will fill your hear and imagination! (I bez ukrasnog papira dar u srce dira). The aim is to show that holiday magic is possible while at the same time taking care of the environment, simply by reducing the use of wrapping paper.
11.12.2019. The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund was present, along with many other participants, at the ceremony presenting the 2019 Žuti okvir (Yellow Frame) award for sustainable development, science and education.
02.12.2019. A 2-day Fifth International Conference "Adriatic Wood Days 2019" was held in Dubrovnik. The themes of the conference included forestry, wood processing, energy from wood, construction using wood, furniture production and related creative industries. The topics that were given special attention included biomass and renewable energy sources.
02.12.2019. The Fund will close 2019 by inviting two new tenders for co-financing worth HRK 10.8m – the first is aimed at public institutions to stimulate RES projects, and the other is aimed at associations for reuse or underwater cleaning projects.
29.11.2019. Deputy Director of the Fund Alenka Košiša Čičin Šain presented the members of the Sports and Fishing Association Odra, the Folklore Association Čiče, the Association Agroeduka, and the Volunteer Fire Department Novo Čiče, with the second runner-up award for the action on cleaning the environment as part of the Coca-Cola corporate social responsibility project "From the Spring to the Sea".
26.11.2019. The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund was the host of today’s consultations of the FIRESOL (Financial Instruments for Renewable Energy Investment) project stakeholders, aimed at elaborating the activities that will be an integral part of the future Action Plan
25.11.2019. The project of remediation and closure of non-hazardous waste landfill Nemetin, worth HRK 37.8m that should be completed in the next 13 months, has been presented today at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Osijek. Non-hazardous construction and bulky waste was disposed on the landfill Nemetin in the period 1990 – 2011, and during this period 366 cubic meters of waste had been disposed on the 7 ha surface area.
19.11.2019. HRK18m is available to registered owners and family holdings (OPG) for the projects for installing photovoltaic systems. Depending on the location of the real estate, 40, 60 or 80% of grant financing is available, i.e. up to HRK 70,000 for owners and up to 200,000 for OPGs.
23.10.2019. In cooperation of the Fund and the Korea Business Centre, the seminar on Waste Management in the Republic of Korea was held today in Zagreb. The representatives of counties, towns and municipalities, directors and representatives of WMCs, as well as of utility and other companies interested in this subject attended the event.
