18.04.2019. The ceremony of opening of the recycling yard, worth HRK 3.2 million, was held today in Drniš. Roughly HRK 2.6 million was secured from the European Cohesion Fund, i.e. around 85% of eligible costs.
12.04.2019. The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund organised the panel entitled “Energy Efficiency Incentives Possibilities” at the first Energy Democracy Summit/SED 2019 held from 10th to 12thApril in Pula. The participants in the panel included: H.E. Astrid Versto, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Croatia, Marko Markić from the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE), Marina Marasović from the Croatian Reconstruction and Development Bank (HBOR), Ana Dašić from Hrvatska poštanska banka (HPB), and Maja Rajčić from the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency (EPEEF).
09.04.2019. “This is going be the third centre built in Croatia, and it will significantly improve and round off the waste management system in Zadar County,” said Director of the Fund Dubravko Ponoš at the ceremony of signing the Construction Contract for WMC “Biljane Donje”. The contract was signed by the director of the company Eko, Dino Perović and the director of the Slovenian company RIKO, Janez Škrabec, in the presence of Minister of Environment Tomislav Čorić, head of County Božidar Longin, and the mayors of Zadar and Benkovac, Branko Dukić and Tomislav Bulić respectively.
08.04.2019. By symbolically handing over the keys to the director of the utility company in the official opening ceremony, the mayor of Pleternica put into operation the newly built recycling yard. The minister of environment and the director of the Fund were also present at the ceremony. The facility, which is worth HRK 2.5 million, is located in the Pleternica business zone, and its construction was co-financed from EU funds.
05.04.2019. In just two days, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund received more than 2 200 applications for the co-financing of electric vehicles. “The application we have received so far exceed by several times the available amount of 17 million kunas,” said the director of the Fund, Dubravko Ponoš, pointing out that the Call for the citizens would be closed as of that day at 15:00.
03.04.2019. This morning, in less than 60 minutes the registration office at the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund received more than 300 applications for the co-financing of electric vehicles. “Such interest of the citizens was expected, and I believe it is positive that people are getting more familiar with electric vehicles, and are willing to drive them”, said the director of the Fund.

At the conference 2019 Greenfield Investments: How Dreams Become Reality, Deputy Director of the Fund Alenka Košiša Čičin-Šain participated in the panel discussion on the topic of importance of investments by publicly owned companies and companies in the ownership of the units of local self-government.
21.03.2019. During the last 10 years, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund paid more than HRK 2 million to the citizens with the aim of protection of white stork (Ciconia ciconia) nests. These are the results of the project launched in 2009, granting 700 kuna to the citizens on whose rooftops or outbuildings the storks are nesting.
21.03.2019. Last year, after HRK 12 million was granted to the citizens in matter of hours, the EPEEF announced the new Public Call that will be officially published on 3 April. The main information about the Call, as well as the Application Form, has been published today, so that all interested citizens can prepare in time for submitting the application.
20.03.2019. A formal conference held in Osijek to mark the completion of energy renovation of 19 elementary and high schools in Osijek-Baranja County, and to announce renovation works on 23 public sector buildings. The overall value of investment in these projects amounts to HRK 144 million, of which 60 percent is secured from EU funds with the rest provided by the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds together with Osijek-Baranja County.
15.03.2019. The town successfully secured a little over HRK 7 million from EU funds for energy renovation of buildings and waste management projects, said Dubravko Ponoš, Director of the Fund, during his visit to Buje. The last in a series of projects for which the town was granted funding is the construction of the recycling yard in Momjanska Street, investment worth HRK 3.4 million
05.03.2019. The citizens of Velika Ludina will be able to take some of their waste to the newly built recycling yard that has been officially put into operation today. The investment is worth HRK 2.3 million, of which 85% was secured from EU funds.
