So far, the Fund has granted HRK 15 million to the Public Institution managing Brijuni National Park for the implementation of 17 projects, worth HRK 48 million in total. 16 projects have been successfully completed, while the implementation of the project Novo ruho Brijuna – Brijuni Reinvented is under way, said Siniša Kukić, the director of the Fund, after the official meeting with the representatives of NP Brijuni.
“So far, the Fund has granted 15 million kunas to the Public Institution managing Brijuni National Park for the implementation of 17 projects, worth 48 million kunas in total. 16 projects have been successfully completed, while the project Novo ruho Brijuna is under way,” said the director of the Fund, Siniša Kukić, after the official meeting of the representatives of the Fund and NP Brijuni. During the meeting, the participants also discussed the Fund’s public calls for which public institutions are eligible applicants, for example the calls concerning the use of renewable energy sources, installation of charging stations for electric vehicles, and co-financing the purchase of boats using alternative fuels.
The director, Marno Milotić, presented the course of implementation of the project Novo ruho Brijuna – Brijuni Reinvented, which is aimed at creating the basis for sustainable development of the natural heritage, and presenting the cultural, historical, geological and biological heritage of NP Brijuni. He also announced the new infrastructural projects, and the possibilities of the Fund’s participation were the discussed.
Before the meeting in Brijuni, the representatives of the Fund visited the Waste Management Centre Kaštijun, where the trial operation of the two newly-built waste stabilisation boxes is almost completed and the ventilation system had been extended. Vesna Dukić, the member of the Kaštijun Management Board, pointed out that during the works the centre continued its operation without any interruption, collecting and treating solid municipal waste from the Istria County.
