The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund launched the Call for Proposals for development and innovation projects aimed at implementing the European Green Deal, worth in total HRK 7.5 million (995,000 €).The call is open for direct financing of projects supporting research and experimental development in the field of clean energy production, transport including batteries, pure hydrogen, and other low-carbon technologies, and research of technologies, technical and non-technical measures to reduce emissions and increase sinks in all sectors (energy, transport, agriculture, forestry, waste and industrial processes).
The aim of this call is to promote “green research” and innovation solutions that will contribute to achieving the European Green Deal. The call for proposals complies with the low-carbon and energy development strategies of the Republic of Croatia, it contributes to the implementation of the measures in the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan 2021 – 2030, and it is intended for public institutions, higher education and public research institutes.
Under this call for proposals, the Fund will allocate aid up to a maximum of HRK 1.5 million (200,000 €), or up to 100% of eligible project costs. The submission of applications starts on 28 December 2022, and it ends on 28 February 2023. The cost eligibility period starts on the date of opening of the call, and it ends on 30 June 2025.
