Pursuant to the Act on Sustainable Waste Management, the Ordinance on packaging and waste packaging, and the Decision of the minister responsible for environmental protection in the area of collection of non-hazardous waste packaging, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund will launch the Public Call for submitting the programmes for providing the service of collection of non-hazardous waste packaging. The subject-matter of the Public Call for submitting the programmes for providing the service of collection of non-hazardous waste packaging is submitting said programmes and selection of the most acceptable programmes in the system managed by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. Based on the chosen most acceptable programmes, the Fund will conclude service contracts for each type of non-hazardous waste packaging in the respective collection area defined in the Decision of the minister with all successful applicants who submitted their programmes for providing the service of collecting non-hazardous waste packaging, which meet the requirements of this Public Call. The term of the concluded contracts is 31 December 2023. The purpose of the consultations is to get feedback from the professional and interested public concerning the proposed Public Call so that we could identify and eliminate any potential problems in the subsequent implementation of the call itself.
