In compliance with the epidemiological measures, the Fund held the informative workshops dealing with the terms and conditions of applying to the Public Call, and the measures financed through the call. The workshop, which was opened by mayor Vili Bassanese, and run by Tomislav Ilić and Božena Pastuović from the Fund, was broadcast live on the official Umag Facebook account due to great interest. How to apply, how to register, which documentation was required, and what was to be co-financed, were just some of the questions the citizens of Umag put forward to the representatives of the Fund, to which they supplied detailed replies.
This year the Fund has earmarked HRK 203 million grant funding for the renovation of family houses. For the last two months, the citizens from all over Croatia have been opening their user accounts in the e-Application system, uploading their documentation, and filling out the application forms, all in order to be prepared for the start of application; even though the public call was published on 25 June, the application process will start on 1 September at 9:00 hours.
The goal of this programme is to continue promoting energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy sources in family houses. This will contribute to reducing the energy for heating and cooling, thus reducing energy and financial saving, while at the same time improving the quality of living. Regardless of the location, the citizens can get up to 60% of co-financing to increase thermal protection of the building envelope, ceiling, roof, replacement of windows with the more energy-efficient ones, and installation of the RES systems, including PV systems for generating electric energy.
The maximum amount of co-financing has been set for each measure, and by combining different measures, a household can get up to HRK 204 thousand of grant funding.
Eligible applicants to the Public Call of the Fund are those citizens whose houses measure up to 600 m2 or up to 3 residential units, and with more than 50% of the surface area used for living. The applicants must have a registered residence in this house, a title deed, and proof of legality of the house. The possibility to apply also depends on the energy category, so in the continental part of Croatia, the house eligible for energy renovation falls in the energy category D or lower, and in the coastal part of Croatia, the houses falling in the energy category C or lower.
The Fund has also prepared a list of energy auditors for all those citizens who need help in filling out the forms and collecting the documentation required to apply. The approved cost for energy auditor services in the amount of HRK 500 will be eligible only to those users whose application is approved and who complete the renovation.
The Fund has also published the Public Call for energy renovation of socially vulnerable citizens, worth HRK 32 million. In accordance with the social criteria set out in the Amendments to the Programme adopted by the Government in May, the social welfare centres will coordinate energy auditors in order to help the most vulnerable citizens in the application process. Energy auditor services and the cost of energy renovation will be fully financed the the Fund.
