Together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction Predrag Štromar, Director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund Dubravko Ponoš attended the official meeting with the mayor of Varaždin Ivan Čehok, and one of the items on the agenda discussed at the meeting was, among other things, resolving the issue of the Varaždin baled waste. It was confirmed that the Croatian Government will cooperate with Varaždin in finding the solution to this problem, as well as the model of co-financing the remediation of baled waste that is disposed on the location in Brezje. The town of Varaždin will prepare the remediation programme and refer it to the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. After the Fund approves this remediation programme, the Government will definitely co-finance this project, it was concluded at the working meeting held in the City Hall.
