04.10.2018.

Almost 7 million kuna from the European funds was secured for the Bijela Labudica project, while the remaining HRK 4 million will be provided by Bjelovar-Bilogora County.

“Bjelovar-Bilogora County was highly successful at the last tender invited by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, not only in applying their projects, but also in terms of their approval”, underlined the director of the Fund, Mr. Ponoš, adding that “in this tender, Bjelovar-Bilogora County and its institutions had 27 project approved worth in total HR 105 million, showing remarkable ability in project preparation”.

The building Bijela Labudica in Grubišno Polje was built in 1956. It has not been extensively renovate over the last 60 years, but now it will be renovated top to bottom.

Works will also include complete renovation of the roof, replacement of windows and doors, installation of the new thermal envelope/façade, insulation of the basement ceiling, insulation of floors, construction of the lift platforms for people with disabilities, new toilets for people with disabilities, installation of the ventilation system in the gym, and a number of other works.

Energy renovation of schools reduces their maintenance costs, and the savings achieved in this aspect will, along with additional funding from Bjelovar-Bilogora County, be invested in equipping the schools that will be fitted with new furniture and other special equipment after the renovation.

“So, our County has become one large construction site, because there will not be a single municipality or town left without an energy renovation project going on and successfully utilising EU funds”, concluded Damir Bajs, the head of Bjelovar-Bilogora County.
