The Fund participates in the award ceremony of Žuti okvir (Yellow Frame) for sustainable development, science and education

National Geographic Magazine Croatia and Adria Media Zagreb launched the project Žuti okvir (Yellow Frame) for sustainable development, science and education aimed at encouraging all Croatian citizens to embrace the 17 sustainable development goals adopted by the United Nations, whose achievement is essential for the future of our planet and the future generations. The stars of the evening were all the nominees in 17 categories, and the chosen ones were presented with commendations.

The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund presented the commendation for large projects contributing to sustainability in Croatia in Category 15: “Terrestrial ecosystems” – for the Association BIOM, Category 16: “Peace and justice/accountable institutions” – S.O.S. Virovitica, and Category 17: “Partnership for the goals” – Croatian Parks.

These are the other categories and awarded individuals, teams, accompanies, and institutions that contribute to sustainability in Croatia: Category 1: “End poverty” – Institution Dobri dom Grada Zagreba; Category 2: “End hunger” – ZMAG-Green network of activist groups; Category 3: “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being” - INA Projekt Zdravlje+; Category 4: “Ensure quality education” - Školska knjiga CRO Team; Category 5: “Gender equality” – Ženska pomoć sada, SOS hotline for women and children victims of domestic violence; Category 6: “Ensure water and sanitation for all” – Goran Ladišić; Category 7: “Affordable and clean energy” – Ivan Mrvoš; Category 8: “Decent work and economic growth” - URIHO Zagreb; Category 9: “Industry, innovation and infrastructure” – CIAK; Category 10: “Reduce inequality” – the Town of Zabok; Category 11: “Sustainable cities and sustainable communities” – RE:HUB Development of professional competence for green building – Eco-camp project; Category 12: “Sustainable consumption and production patterns” - IN2 Grupa - Project IN2 Water; Category 13: “Action to combat climate change” - Leonarda Šmigmator - Fridays for Future Croatia; and Category 14: “Underwater life” - Zlarin – the island free of plastics.

The winners, as well as the nominees, are the true celebrities of the future, they are walking not the red carpet but the yellow one; they are guardians of Earth, humankind, and our future.
