Up to HRK 1.4 million for RES

24.03.2022.

On 30 March, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund will  launch the Public Call for co-financing RES systems for legal entities. 100 million kunas have been allocated to this call and it will be available for a wide range of beneficiaries, many of whom are experiencing higher operating costs due to an increase in the price of energy generating products. The installation of such systems can provide for a more rational use of energy as well as lower costs,” said Siniša Kukić, the director of the Fund.

To secure up to HRK 1.4 million in grant funding, eligible applicants to the call include the units of local and regional self-government, state administration bodies, other budget and extra-budget users, institutions, cooperatives, companies, trades, family holdings, private renters, sole traders, and other legal entities (except associations). This call, for the first time, includes building managers that can apply on behalf of apartment co-owners, and religious communities.
The applicants will have 40, 60 or 80% of co-financing available, depending on the location where the project is implemented, and the financing covers heat pumps, solar thermal collectors, wood chippings/pellet boilers, or pyrolysis furnaces, and integrated photovoltaic electricity generation power plants for own consumption in an off-grid system or connected to the grid. Apart from the equipment, the drawing up of the main design– one of the mandatory application documents – will also be co-financed. The main project can be financed with up 40% of eligible costs, or up to a maximum of HRK 70,000 per location, and retroactive co-financing is also possible if the project is not older than 24 September 2020 i.e., since the start of the application of the Technical regulation on rational use of energy and heat retention in buildings. To ensure the quality of the planned project, supervision can also be co-financed in the amount of up to 40% of eligible costs, or with a maximum of HRK 56,000.00 per location. One application can include the installation of different RES systems on several locations.

The applicants can start sending their applications for co-financing from 31 March at 9:00,  either by registered mail or take them personally to the registration office of the Fund on Radnička cesta 80, Zagreb. The applications will be processed in the order of receipt until the resources have been used up.

A similar call for the citizens for funding the use of renewable energy sources in family houses is expected in the autumn.
